About Us:

This Is Anyo - A Sustainable Journey of Fashion

This Is Anyo is a female-owned brand that embarked on its mission to redefine fashion in April 2021, from the picturesque landscapes of Yorkshire, England. Our brand isn't just about clothing; it's about a conscious movement towards ethical, sustainable, and slow fashion.

What is Slow Fashion?

Slow fashion is more than just a buzzword; it's a commitment to creating and purchasing clothing with a focus on longevity. We stand firmly behind the philosophy of buying less but buying quality. At This Is Anyo, we believe in clothing designed to be worn again and again. When cared for, our pieces will prove to be your loyal companions for years to come.

The Birth of Anyo:

Our journey began when our founder Amy, with a background in fashion buying and merchandising, saw the stark need for change in the fashion industry. The traditional approach she had experienced prioritized low-cost production with little regard for the environment and the workers involved.

Today's throw-away culture and fast fashion have become the norm, making it easy and affordable to purchase a new outfit for a single wear. Recognizing her own role in this unsustainable cycle, our founder embarked on a personal journey toward a more sustainable way of living, one small but significant change at a time. She stopped supporting fast fashion retailers and began seeking sustainable, transparent brands while also investing in second-hand fashion.

She found a noticeable gap in the market – there were few sustainable brands that offered both high-quality style and affordability. It was this realization that gave birth to This Is Anyo.

Our Ongoing Commitment

At This Is Anyo, we are dedicated to the relentless pursuit of sustainability and ethical practices. We take responsibility for sourcing sustainable materials, exploring both traditional and modern manufacturing methods, and partnering with suppliers who uphold Fair Trade and workers' rights. This is not a destination, but a continuous journey for us. Every step is a learning curve, and we embrace the responsibility of transparency and sustainability with open arms.

As Amy, our Founder, aptly states, "This is a journey for us, and every step is a learning curve. It is our responsibility and aim to be as transparent and sustainable as possible and make good choices."

Join us in this journey of sustainable fashion. Together, we can make a difference—one piece of clothing at a time.
